Lynette Ward

Lynnette Ward is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with community members, organizations and businesses to meet the volunteer, in-kind, service, and collaborative partnership needs of Rainbow Village.  Lynnette trains our volunteers, coordinates service projects, and works to ensure that resources given to Rainbow Village are used most efficiently and effectively.

Lynnette also oversees our Graduate Program that offers ongoing support for former Rainbow Village residents.  Lynnette is specially gifted to direct this effort as she too is a graduate of our program.  She came to Rainbow Village in 1997, when she fled domestic violence while pregnant with her third child. After completion of the program and successful transition to a career in sales and marketing, she returned to volunteer at Rainbow Village, and joined the staff in 2006.  Lynnette knows first-hand what our families have been through and what they continue to need as they move forward with their lives because she is living it.  She is tremendously resourceful and always has strong words of encouragement to share as she help graduates stay on the right path and address issues they confront.
