Jarrett Foster Maintenance Supervisor

As Maintenance Supervisor, Jarrett Foster focuses full-time on keeping things humming here at Rainbow Village. Jarrett was born and raised in Long Island, NY and studied at the New York Institute of Technology. His father was a carpenter by trade, and since the age of 10 Jarrett worked side-by-side with his dad learning to build, repair, and restore with his hands. In 2004 Jarrett sought a new pace of life and made the decision to move to Atlanta and launch his own construction firm. He built a lucrative business but as construction slowed to a crawl with the economic downturn, the time came when he needed to chart a new course. In 2010 Rainbow Village was thrilled to bring Jarrett on staff full-time so he could help us keep our facilities in tip-top shape, running at maximum efficiency, while allowing him to continue to do what he does best.
A little known fact about Jarrett is that he was an exceptional track runner in high school and college. He competed all over the US, as well as in Jamaica and the West Indies. His events were the 400, 400 hurdles, and the 800. The highlight of his running career was competing in the Empire State Games in New York. In the off-season he ran cross country to stay well-conditioned. Today, his passion has shifted more to cycling. As an avid cyclist he bikes every chance he gets, even to and from work! Occasionally he blends his love of running with cycling when he competes in duathlons around the region.
