With Much Gratitude and Joy

Lynnette WardFor a month now, I have been working on an open letter to everyone I have had the honor and privilege to know and work alongside for the last couple of years during my role as Community Resource Director, only to stop and start over half a dozen times.  So, here it goes!

Thank you, Gracias, Merci Beaucoup, Grazie, (Domo) Arigato—no matter what language we choose to use to express our gratitude, those words can be so powerful and meaningful, so much so that they have been known to change our day, outlook or even our feelings while making us smile. Today, I want to let you know how GRATEFUL I am to everyone—for all you have done and continue to do in support of Rainbow Village’s mission, vision and values.

As I transition into my new position of service as the new Graduate Program Director, working with those who have completed our program, I wanted to let our volunteers, faith partners, civic and corporate partners  know how much I have enjoyed getting to know you as I worked with you all.  As many of you have heard me say either at a workday, community meal or just during a phone call, “There are no small gestures here at Rainbow Village; your time, talents and passions say so much to our families that their community cares and is something I treasure.”

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to our new Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator Linda Cerjan, who now has the honor of working with you all as we go forward.

Peace & blessings,

Lynnette Ward
