Volunteer Opportunity to Support Rainbow Village

Posted on by eallen

Greetings from the Headquarters of Santa’s Toy Run 2011,

It’s with great pleasure and excitement we present Santa’s Toy Run 2011 to all recipients and volunteers. Last year was a huge success as many of you know. This year looks like it may be a little better with more toys and monetary donations to some of the organizations listed as recipients of STR 2011, including Rainbow Village. Your organizations also can solicit any of the sponsorship levels and keep 100% of the money; in fact the donation will be made payable directly to you. Visit www.santastoyrun.org for event information; look at the 2010 Results. It’s important that you visit the website so you will have a full understand of the event. I have a video on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XchZiAL1lNg describing the event, it’s good!. Let me know if you have any questions.

I have worked diligently on the 2011 STR since 2010 and want all organization to benefit; especially the kids because that is what it’s all about anyway. My goal and mission is to provide more than 500 children with toys and games for Christmas; many, as you wouldn’t know, would not get anything. Also to provide a means of fundraising for each organization at NO cost to them. This is my way of giving back. NASA-SE, our racing body, deserves a lot of thanks for allowing us to make such an offering to the kids and organization involved with their event at Road Atlanta; they are great people, please thank them juliepantas@nasa-se.com.

All I ask in return is some volunteers to help with the operation of the event. Unfortunately last year’s volunteers was a little less than expected making it a lot harder for the ones that helped. This is a perfect opportunity for service hours for high school seniors to fill a few of the spots. I need help with registration, toy collection, logistics, raffle and more so we can maximize the benefit to each and every organization.

Randy Carlson randy@santastoyrun.org  will be the point of contact for STR 2011 volunteers along with me ron@santastoyrun.org or 404-925-7350

After the event I will need each organization to contact me directly, ron@santastoyrun.org, with a needs list. We will distribute the toys, donations, and sponsorship proceeds between Dec 16th to 19th. With your help, everybody wins!
