Our wonderful friends at the Women’s Club of Sugarloaf Country Club Charities, Inc. are planning another fantastic event the weekend of October 22nd called the Swine & Dandy Charity Cookoff that will benefit a select group of local charities, including Rainbow Village.

Attendees will enjoy an array of family friendly activities such as inflatables, small carnival-type rides, a cakewalk and a pumpkin patch.  They can also expect to enjoy live, country and blue grass music while watching cooking demonstrations and sipping on their favorite brew.  Entry into the event is FREE.  Food, drinks and activities will be available for purchase. October 21-22, competition barbecue teams, as well as backyard barbecue enthusiasts, will be smoking their favorite recipes for ribs, chicken, pork, and brisket in hopes of having that special, mouth-watering taste that the judges will declare a winner and award part of a $7500 purse. On October 22, the public will be invited from 10:00am-5:00pm, to enjoy the competition, live music, food and activities from an assortment of vendors, and participate in the “People’s Choice” portion of the cookoff.
